If you grew up in Japan, you knew it as Battleship Yamato. If you grew up in the US, it was probably Starblazers. Either way it is one of the most popular and iconic animes of all time. Now it is finally taking the next big step.. it is becoming a live action movie.
The main character of the anime was always the ship. It is as close to an aircraft carrier as you can get, but still being a space ship. It was one of the coolest vehicles ever created for film and I am stoked to finally get to see it in live action.
