After years of rumors and discussions, Beetlejuice 2 is officially slated for release before the end of next year! That sounds like a short amount of time on a good day, but when you consider the writer’s strike, it seems potentially impossible to pull off. In fact, with a release of Sep 4, 2024, that puts it up on the exact same day as Marvel’s Blade, which is currently shut down because of the writer’s strike,

The Beetlejuice sequel is set to star Jenna Ortega (Wednesday/ Scream V) making this her second outing with Tim Burton. She’ll be playing the daughter of Lydia Deetz, who was originally played by Winona Ryder. Meanwhile, Michael Keaton is set to reprise his role as the ghost with the most for the new movie.

There is no word on whether Ryder will appear in the film, nor is there any word on whether the other original cast members Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones and Catherine O’Hara will be making an appearance. We have to guess that Jones will most likely not be involved, given some of his off-screen issues over the years.

It looks like the script is already set as they plan to begin shooting in just a couple of months, but there is no word on the story.
