The only thing I really didn’t like about Ben Kingsely in Iron Man 3 was that he was The Mandrarin. Had they given him any other name, I’d love loved the character. Sadly, for me, they took a classic Marvel villain and turned him into a throw away idea that could never really be re-used… or could he?
Kingsley is currently out on the road, doing press for Ender’s Game, but he was still talking Marvel with the Belfast Telegraph. It is being reported that he’s told the paper that he “just shot a secret Marvel project. I’m not allowed to say any more, you’re going to have to wait and see.” He also added that many members of the Iron Man 3 crew were involved.
This probably means one of two things. Either he’s been brought in for one of Marvel’s “One-Shot” short films, or he’s set up for a sweeps week cameo on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
