There was some big brouhaha over at aintitcoolnews the other day about the possibility of a Speed sequel starring Keanu Reeves. The star of the upcoming The Day the Earth Stood Still has no interest in ever traveling at the same speed for that long ever again according to what he told IGN.
“I honestly don’t know anything about it, I don’t know if they are going to make another one, and if they are it won’t be with me… honestly!”
One bright note that came out of the interview was this nugget about the possibility of a Bill and Ted Sequel.
“Well you know, never say never…”, said the actor. “Maybe we could do it with them both grown up — they haven’t saved the world and they’re just living their lives as middle-aged men. That sound’s quite funny.”
The sad news is that the studio’s currently preparing a remake of the first movie – with all-new actors in the roles of Bill and Ted…. Bogus!
