Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has had a hard time finding it’s footing. This last week’s episode was probably the best one yet, now we’ll have to see what happens now that Coulson knows the truth of what happened to him after he died.
One thing we know will happen is that Stan Lee will be making an appearance next month. However, that’s old news. The new news is that Bill Paxton has signed on for a multi-episode arc as Agent John Garrett.
Who is Garret? According to Joss Whedon: a rough-and-tumble former cohort of Agent Coulson [Clark Gregg] with a little bit of attitude and cigar-smoking swagger who is the type who wants to stay out in the field no matter how high-level he gets.
Much like Agent Hand, Garret has a history in the comics where his character was turned into a cyborg in order to save his life after he was critically injured in the line of duty.
