A lot of people don’t know Keny Barris by name, but he’s been a powerhouse behind the camera. His biggest hit to date is the series Black-Ish. Now, Barris is stepping out in front to star in a new Netflix series about a fictionalized version of his own life. The series is set to explore what it is like to be ‘new money’ in LA while still being true to yourself and maintaining your identity.

Starring alongside Barris is Parks and Rec star Rashida Jones as his wife, Joya. Their kids will be played by Genneya Walton (Extant), Iman Benson (Suits), Scarlet Spencer (Bright), Justin Claiborne (Reverie), Ravi Cabot-Conyers (Justine, The Resident) and Richard Gardenhire Jr. Additionally, the show is filled with guest stars that include Nia Long, Issa Rae, Mike Epps, Lena Waithe, Ava DuVernay, Will Packer, Tim Story, Tyler Perry, Bresha Webb, Kym Whitley, and Melvin Gregg.
