Most people don’t realize this, but Boba Fett didn’t make his first appearance in The Empire Strikes Back. He actually first popped up as a cartoon in The famously awful Star Wars Holiday special. Also featured in the special were Art Carney, Bea Arthur, and Jefferson Starship. I won’t make you suffer through the whole thing, but take a few minutes to watch the animated segment. It will almost make you forget that, in the special, Chewbacca’s son is named Lumpy.
