Bob’s Burgers has become my favorite animated series on Fox, and has only seemed to get better as the years have progressed. According to a new report, Bob, Linda and the rest of the Belchers are heading to the big screen for their very own movie in 2020.
Deadline is reporting that the movie is set for a July 17, 2020 release date. Show creator, Loren Bouchard, had this to say:
“We’re thrilled to be invited to bring Bob’s Burgers to the big screen. We know the movie has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who’ve never seen the show. We also know it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colors and the sounds and the ever so slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob’s – but most of all it has to take our characters on an epic adventure. In other words, it has to be the best movie ever made. But no pressure, right?!”
Bob’s Burgers is currently riding high off their Emmy win for best animated series and the show has just premiered its seventh season with an episode animated entirely by the series’ loyal fan base. We don’t have any additional information on the film’s plot or if it will tie directly into the show, but one thing is for sure. If Bob’s Burgers is heading to the big screen, there’s no way Burgersquatch won’t be popping up!
