Brett Ratner Takes Helm On Youngblood

Reliance Big Entertainment has just acquired the rights to make a movie adaptation of Robb Liefeld’s comic book series Youngblood. Just to put the perfect cherry on this crap sundae, Brett Ratner is attached to direct.

Ratner told Variety that “Most of the great graphic novels are gone, and ‘Youngblood’ is one of the few comicbooks left.” Holy crap, what an ignorant douche bag.

I remember when Image put out Youngblood #1. You knew it was Liefeld because it looked just like all the work he’d done on X Force and New Mutants. There are ever guys who look like Cable and Deadpool. The art sucked and the story was weak when compared to the other books being put out at the time.

On the upside, there’s not really much Ratner could do here to make it worse.
