FOX might be kicking themselves right now. It wasn’t too long ago that the network unceremoniously canceled the show and NBC saved it. Well, the new home seems to be agreeing with it because Variety is reporting that the network is already renewing the show for an eighth season, three months before the seventh season is even set to premiere next February.

The cop comedy didn’t just hold its own when it made the jump from Fox to NBC, its viewership actually went up 15%. This is great news for fans of the ensemble cast of the show featuring Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio, Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller.
