‘Captain America’s’ Jenna Louise Coleman Is Doctor Who’s New Companion

Last year, Jenna Louise Coleman was just a small bit player in ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’, but come this Christmas, she’ll be debuting with Matt Smith as Doctor Who’s newest companion!

It had already been widely reported that Karen Gillan is leaving the show and that the hunt was on for a new companion. We wish her well, but we are sad because if Karen is leaving that will probably mean an exit for the character of Rory as well.

Earlier today, she appeared in an interview with The BBC where she talked about how excited she is to take the role and she revealed that her first appearance will be in this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special, which begins filming in May.
