The newest trailer for Cars 3 is out and, so far, watching the previews of the third film has been more enjoyable than watching the entirety of the second film. In the new trailer, we get a sense of the emotional stakes of the story and the redemption angle that will be in play. It’s interesting because the first Cars movie was also a redemption story, but this looks like it will have the added maturity in it of a character that has grown from his previous experience. Also, we finally get to see Mater.
Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!
