Casting Updates For Marvel’s Jessica Jones and Luke Cage Netflix Series’

I’ve accepted that Charlie Cox is Matt Murdock/ Daredevil in the upcoming new Netflix series that Marvel is creating. I’m not thrilled with it, but I know that Ryan Kwanten will never get the part and I may as well just hope for the best. Now we are getting our first looks at the actors and actresses up for the leading roles in the accompanying Jessica Jones and Luke Cage series.

First up is Jessica Jones. Her show is going to be the next one to air after Daredevil, followed by Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. So far, the current talent pool includes:
Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad)
Alexandra Daddario (Percy Jackson)
Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies)
Jessica De Gouw (Arrow, Dracula).

The plot for the series will focus on the story of Jessica Jones suffering from PTSD so she decides to quit being a hero and open up a detective agency where she assists other superheroes instead. For my money, I’d like to see Ritter get the role. She’s been great in pretty much everything she’s been in so far.

Next up is Luke Cage. This is an important casting role because he’ll also appear in several episodes of Jessica Jone’s series. Up for this role are:
Lance Gross (Crisis)
Mike Colter (The Good Wife, The Following).

Between the two, I don’t have a favorite as of yet. What do you think?
