The last time Netflix tried to do a holiday special (Bill Murray’s Christmas Special), the results were mixed to say the least. This time around, they are going seriously tongue in cheeky by giving 90’s star Michael Bolton his own Valentine’s day special, called: Michael Bolton’s Big, Sexy Valentine’s Day Special.
In recent years, Bolton has been working hard to show a whole new side of himself by taking on projects like his Jack Sparrow collaboration with Lonely Island, and even doing a recent spot on YouTube with Screen Junkies Honest Trailer of Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. Based on those gigs, it should be no surprise that the special is actually produced by Lonely Island and IFC’s Comedy Bang, Bang.
Joining him in the special, which began streaming on Netflix yesterday, are: Sarah Silverman, Randal Park, Fred Armisen, Will Forte, Eric Andre, Casey Wilson, Michael Sheen, Maya Rudolph, Adam Scott, Chris Parnell, and Adam Sandler as Kenny G.
Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
