Charles S. Dutton Joins FX’ TV Adaptation Of Bendis’ ‘Powers’

There’s tons of comic related projects in the pipeline for TV and film, but very few of them have been floating around for as long as Brian Michael Bendis’ “Powers.” Well, Now we’ve got the first casting for the show.

Charles S. Dutton will be joining the show as Captain Cross, the head of the Powers Homicide department.

It is pretty interesting that they’ve announced the casting for the role of Capt. Cross, but they still haven’t uttered a peep on detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim.

Just in case you are unfamiliar with the comic, “Powers” is the story of a special homicide division that deals specifically with super powered related crimes.

With Comic Con around the corner, I’m sure we can expect to hear the rest of the casting announcements pretty soon. The show is slotted (right now) for a January, 2012 launch.
