Christopher McQuarrie is generating a lot of solid buzz for the directing job he did of Tom Cruise in the upcoming action flick, Jack Reacher. Now it is being reported that Paramount is looking to him as their prime choice for the dirctor of the fifth Mission Impossible film.
Since winning his Oscar for writing the screenplay to The Usual Suspects, McQuarrie has always been Tom Cruise’s favorite for writing on pretty much any project. He’s had a hand in several recent and upcoming Cruise films including: Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, All you Need is Kill, and the probably never going to happen Top Gun 2.
