THR is reporting that Christopher McQuarrie will be writing the script for Fox’s sequel to its “Wolverine” movie. While the first movie wasn’t exactly what everyone was hoping for, it sounds like the second chapter of the story is going to have a lot more meat.
The movie’s story line will take its cue from the early 1980s Chris Claremont/Frank Miller miniseries, which is set in Japan and features Wolverine dealing with ninjas as he struggles whether to follow his animal killer instincts or the life under a samurai’s code of honor and respect.
McQuarrie comes to the film with a lot of experience as he not only wrote the first X-Men Movie, but he also wrote The Usual Suspects.
