Colin Hanks as proven himself to be more than just the son of another actor and now it looks like he might finally get the kind of role that can help define a career. TVline is reporting that Hanks, most recently seen in Matt Nix’s ‘The Good Guys’ is now set to play a major part in season six of Showtime’s Dexter.
He’ll be playing Travis “a highly intelligent expert on ancient artifacts who gets linked to a series of grisly murders in Miami.”
Having the chance to play a juicy role like a serial killer on Dexter can really open up a career. He’ll be walking the steps of people like John Lithgow. His previous work has all been good, but this will really be his first chance to show that he can play a darker, more complex role.
Hanks will appear in 12 episodes for season six.
