Cool ‘The Avengers’ Red Envelopes Promos Celebrating Chinese New Year

What won’t Marvel think of next. Check out these promotional red envelopes (Ang pows) for Marvel’s “The Avengers.” According to Comingsoon, they’ll be given out to movie goers in Asian movie theaters during the first six days of the Chinese New Year, beginning Monday, January 23rd.

And for the record, they’re no actual money inside, just the envelopes.

Directed by Joss Whedon, “The Avengers” stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, and Samuel L. Jackson.

“The Avengers” will hit theaters on May 4th, 2010.
