Usually, when you see an article title phrased as a question, the answer is almost always a no, but this time it could very well be a yes!
The Wrap is reporting that the Spider-Man Homecoming actor is in talks to return to the cape and cowl as part of the long-troubled Flash film starring Ezra Miller. According to the report, Keaton would be the key to introducing a multiverse to the DCEU in the film.
In the movie, Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen would go back in time to stop the murder of his mother, only to cause the Flashpoint time crisis. One of the big changes that he will have caused is the creation of the Keaton Batman within the DCEU, now 30 years older than when we first met him in the Tim Burton films.
Talks are said to be in early stages and there’s no word on whether this is just a cameo or something bigger. There are also new rumors popping up again that Jeffery Dean Morgan may also return to play the Thomas Wayne Batman. It is possible that both versions could appear momentarily as Flash hops between realities.
The Flash is set to begin production early 2021.
