The creators of Robot Chicken and Supermansion are back for their new series, Crossing Swords. The new stop-motion adventure takes characters that looks like the old “Little People” toys for toddlers and turns them into something that you would most definitely not show kids unless you were the cool, irresponsible uncle that no one trusts to babysit.
Set in medieval times, the show stars Nicholas Hoult as a peasant who becomes a squire, but is completely unprepared for the hijinx and debauchery in the castle.
Along with Hoult, Crossing Swords also stars Also starring Adam Ray, Tara Strong, Tony Hale, Luke Evans, Seth Green, Alanna Ubach, Adam Pally, Yvette-Nicole Brown, Maya Erskine, Breckin Meyer and Wendi McClendon-Covey. The series is set to drop all 10 episodes of season on Hulu on June 12th.
Created by Robot Chicken’s John Harvatine IV and Tom Root, Crossing Swords stars Nicholas Hoult as Patrick, a good hearted peasant who lands a coveted squire position at the royal castle. However, his dream job quickly turns into a nightmare when he learns his beloved kingdom is run by a hornet’s nest of horny monarchs, crooks and charlatans. Even worse, Patrick’s valor made him the black sheep in his family, and now his criminal siblings have returned to make his life hell. War, murder, full frontal nudity—who knew brightly colored peg people led such exciting lives?
