Daniel Craig as 007 With The Queen Elizabeth At 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony

While not as cool as Rowan Atkinson’s part in the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony, it was still quite special to see the Queen of England on screen with Daniel Craig in character as James Bond.

In the bit, Bond is escorting the Queen to the opening ceremonies. After a short helicopter ride from the pre-filmed section of the sketch that takes place in Buckingham Palace, the helicopter shows up live above the stadium. Then, to the surprise of the crowd, someone appearing to be the Queen jumps from the copter and parachutes down to the ceremony. She’s followed by someone who looks like Craig. As I said before… not nearly as cool as the Rowan Atkinson bit, but still pretty damned awesome.

We couldn’t find the complete clip as a whole, so here are the best bits we could find. We’ll update it when we can find a complete video from start to finish.
