Hot on the heels of it being announced that Danny Elfman will be providing the score for Sam Raimi’s ‘Oz The Great and Powerful,’ it has now been revealed that he’s also in talks for ‘The Hunger Games’.

Danny Elfman is the writer to the movie soundtrack of the American Geek. From Beetle Juice to Nightmare Before X-Mas and even the theme song from The Simpson, he’s left as big a mark on American cinema as John Williams.

Earlier today it came out that he’ll be teaming up with Sam Raimi to create the soundtrack for ‘Oz The Great and Powerful’ which stars James Franco, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis and Zach Braff.

It’s also hit the news today that he’s in talks with Gary Ross to Score ‘The Hunger Games’. The new series that is looking like it is destined to be the film replacement for Harry Potter stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
