David Letterman Lands New Netflix Series

In a move that shouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone, David Letterman is coming out of retirement and heading over to Netflix for a 6 episode commitment on a new series that will combine interviews with “Extraordinary people” and humorous field segments. The main inspiration for the new show? Dave was bored being retired. Here’s what he had to say about the deal with Netflix:

“I feel excited and lucky to be working on this project for Netflix. Here’s what I have learned, if you retire to spend more time with your family, check with your family first. Thanks for watching, drive safely.”

Letterman recently popped up on Norm McDonald’s online interview show. You can check out the complete interview, below. Keep in mind, it is not really all that safe for work.
