Back in October, 20th Century Fox co-chairman, Tom Rothman hinted that Fox was seriously considering doing a reboot of “Daredevil.” Well it appears as if that time has come, especially if Fox wants to retain the movie rights with big bad Disney now lurking in the shadows.
According to Deadline Hollywood, 20th Century Fox and Regency are looking to develop the reboot with News Corp VP Peter Chernin producing and “The Day the Earth Stood Still” writer David Scarpa.
“Daredevil” (2003) was originally directed by comic book adaptation killer Mark Steven Johnson, and starred Ben Affleck (Daredevil), Jennifer Garner (Elektra), and a flamboyant Collin Ferrel as the never-miss assassin Bullseye. While the film grossed $179.2 million worldwide, it was for the most part, negatively received by critics and fans alike.
