Personally, I’ve been a lot more excited about seeing Neil Gaiman’s American Gods brought to live on screen than Sandman. They are both great, but it’s so much easier to screw up Sandman. We’ve got a great shot at an amazing series with the Starz series adaptation of the American Road story/ battle between the gods of the past vs the gods of the present.
Now, Neil Gaiman has tweeted out that David Slade would be coming on board as both director and Executive producer. He’ll be joining Bryan Fuller and Michael Greene are are already set as the showrunners.
Be patient. The series doesn’t hit until 2017.
