Since the announcement that David Slade will be directing the new “Daredevil” movie for 20th Century Fox, Slade has been busy on Twitter updating fans with whatever news he can about his new film. For starters, according to Slade, the new “Daredevil” movie will have nothing to do with the previous film staring Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.
“Forgot to look at the internet for a few weeks and its a litany of false (and not so far off) rumours.
So without breaking confidentiality, yes Daredevil, we have a great outline for a very strong character driven take on Mr Matt Murdock.
It will bare no relation to the previous Daredevil movie in any way. We are at early planning stages and have not yet discussed any cast.”
In addiiton, Slade also made a few comments about the “Wolverine” and “Deadpool” movies.
“Love DEADPOOL, was never engaged in the (quite fantastic) script, last I heard studio was looking at comedy directors. None of my business.
WOLVERINE, there have been no discussions about this project to date.
Interesting to see what will happen with that as the again excellent script by Chris McQuarrie was set largley in Japan.”
Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
