Director Chosen For ‘X-Men Origins: Deadpool’ Director

The Deadpool movie that fans have been waiting for is one step closer to reality. The film, which Ryan Reynolds is promising will be a hard R if he stars in it has just chosen a director, Tim Miller.

Haven’t heard of him? Get in line. This will be Miller’s first film. He isn’t new to the franchise though. He was a visual effects designer on earlier X-Men films. He’s also doing a lot of effects work on the Ron Howard directed Dark Tower film.

So what do you think? Is it a good idea to put a first time director in charge of a movie like this? Frank Daranbont directed The Shawshank Redemption his first time out. Let’s just cross our fingers and hope that Rob Leifeld’s creation comes out better on screen this time around.
