With Jon Favreau’s Live Action Jungle Book adaptation nearing a billion dollars at the worldwide box office ($965,810,164), it’s easy to understand why Disney would choose him to put a new spin on The Lion King.
As of right now, there’s no real details on the film, other than the fact that it will include many of the songs from the original movie. One interesting thing to consider about this movie, compared to Disney’s other live action reboots is that there are no human characters in this story. Essentially, it sounds like we will be looking at an updated version of the film, but with live action backgrounds and mocap characters as the animals.
