Remember when Disney+ was heavily promoting their upcoming spin-off / Reboot of the National Treasure franchise with a new series called National Treasure: Edge of History? So do we. What we don’t remember is when it started airing… and apparently neither does anyone else because it has now been announced that the series has been canceled after just one season.
We don’t know how bad the viewership on the series was, but we can report that, based on Rotten Tomatoes, neither critics nor fans will be shedding many tears over the show’s cancellation. According to the site, the show only managed to reach a 38% from critics and 49% from fans. It sounds like the secret was that there was no treasure to be found.
