In the last couple of year’s Nickelodeon’s classic game show, Legends of the Hidden Temple has had a major resurgence. Well, it looks like the execs at Disney have been paying attention because the trailer they just dropped for their new show, Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge, feels pretty much like the same concept, but with Star Wars.
We aren’t complaining that the new show feels like a homage to the Nick classic, but we do have to admit that it’s pretty funny. One of the things we love about the new series is their choice of host, Ahmed Best. You might remember Ahmed as Jar Jar Binks from the Star Wars prequels. In the years after the film’s release, Best was subject to such a tremendous amount of abuse and harassment over the character that it made him suicidal. We are thrilled to see Disney giving the actor his due and bringing him back into the spotlight. The series was originally slated for release on Disney+, but it now appears as though it will launch June 3rd on the Star Wars Kids Youtube channel.
