Disney has had a big hit on its hand with the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland in California. The one thing that’s missing is the park’s second ride, Rise of the Resistance. Now, we at least know when the ride will be opening up at the Disney World version of the Galaxy’s Edge.
Earlier today, Disney announced that the new attraction will open in Disney World’s version of the attraction on December 5th. During the ride, guests will be forced into the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. The ride will also feature appearances by Star Wars Icons Rey (Daisy Ridley), General Organa (Carrie Fisher), and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
This will give the Orlando park a chance to have ownership of the opening of one of the major Star Wars Attractions as the park itself is not opening until August 29th, several months after Disneyland’s version of the park. California park-goers will open on January 17th of 2020.
To celebrate the announcement, Disney has released this awesome new poster for the attraction:
