Zack Snyder’s directorial style on Man of Steel, BVS, and Justice League might have been a little divisive, but it’s definitely a style all his own. Now, the filmmaker will be bringing some of that vision to Netflix with a new anime series based on Norse Mythology.
To make the new series, Snyder is teaming up with Jay Olivia on the project. The two are no strangers to each other with Oliva having worked as a storyboard artist on 300, Watchmen, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Here’s what John Derderian, head of Anime programming for Netflix had to say:
“Zack Snyder’s innovation in visual storytelling has pushed the industry forward and established him as one of the most distinctive filmmakers of his generation. We are beyond excited to partner with him and his exceptional team to bring the iconic characters and stories of Norse mythology to life in his inimitable style,”
