We haven’t heard a lot from Jason Segal in the last couple of years. But, the How I met Your Mother/ The Muppets/ Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor is back with a new series from AMC. Dispatches from Elsewhere is a show about four strangers who come together to solve a puzzle. As they delve deeper into the game, they realize there may actually be more to it and these people begin to find their place in a world where they had felt something was missing.
It’s a really interesting story concept that has the potential to get seriously weird. One of the big things the show has going for it is a stellar cast. Along with Segal, the show also stars Sally Field, André Benjamin, Eve Lindsey, and Richard E. Grant Check out the first trailer below and then tune in when it drops on AMC, March 1st.
The ten-hour series is centered around four ordinary people who feel there’s something missing in their lives, but they can’t quite put their finger on what it is. This diverse foursome is brought together by chance – or perhaps it’s by design – when they stumble onto a puzzle hiding just behind the veil of everyday life. As they begin to accept the mysterious ‘Dispatches from Elsewhere’ challenges, they come to find that the mystery winds deeper than they imagined, and their eyes are opened to a world of possibility and magic.
