We’ve known that Chiwetel Ejiofor would be joining Benedict Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange for a while now, but it wasn’t until earlier today that we finally knew who he’d be playing.
According to reports Ejiorfor will be playing Baron Mordo (because Marvel’s cinematic universe apparently needs a second evil Baron…). In the comics, both he and Dr Strange were students of The Ancient One (to be played by Tilda Swinton). Mordo hatches a plan to kill the Ancient One, which Strange thwarts. The result is Strange becomes the Sorcerer Supreme and Baron Mordo becomes a life long nemesis.
