Drew Barrymore Whips Ellen Page Into Shape

There’s been a lot reasonable amount of bruhaha over Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut. Buzz was so good about her first film, Whip it, that before it had even gone to camera, her name was tossed into the hat of potential directors for future Twilight movies. Well, her name might have got tossed from that hat, but she’s finally got “Whip It” in the can and the first trailer has just been released.

In the story of a small town girl who finds where she belongs when she secretly joins a roller derby team, Barrymore is supported by a cast of big names. Along with Page, Marcia Gay Harden, Kristen Wiig, Juliette Lewis, Daniel Stern and Eve help make up a very impressive ensemble cast.
