Former Deadpool Showrunner Drew Goddard has been picked by Fox to write a direct their Marvel X-Force film which will focus on the Mutant black ops team lead by both Cable and Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin are set to reprise their roles as Deadpool and Cable, and Reynolds is also in place as one of the producers of the film, along with Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner.
Unfortunately, this also means that we’ll be waiting at least a little while before we get to see X-Force. Currently, Goddard is getting ready to write, direct, and produce Bad Times at the El Royale with Chris Hemsworth and Jeff Bridges (also being released by fox), before taking on the new mutant film.
