Emma Watson has already earned her way into hearts of children and adults alike with her role of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series. Now, she’s informing fans that one of her next roles will be an equally iconic character, Belle, in the new live action adaptation of Beauty and The Beast.
The film, from Disney, is the latest live action adaptation of their classic fairy tales. Here’s what Watson told her fans on Twitter:
I’m finally able to tell you that I’ll be playing Belle in Disney’s new live action Beauty and The Beast! It was such a big part of my growing up that it almost feels surreal that I’ll get to dance to ‘Be Our Guest’, and sing ‘Something There’. My six year old self is on the ceiling – heart bursting! Time to start singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it. Emma XX
