There’s no denying that “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” sucked harder than Kirby after a ten day fast. the question is… why!?! Well, Gavin Hood, director of the upcoming Ender’s Game, was also the director that film. Recently, he sat down with IGN to talk about the Ender’s Game, but they weren’t going to let him leave without asking WTF was up with the mutant flop.
When asked, here’s what he had to say:
“I was making a film that- frankly- was still be worked on by scriptwriters back in L.A. while I was in Australia. I learned a great deal in that movie,” he said. Hood referred to the experience as a “baptism by fire.” “For me it was, ‘Wow. This is weird. I’m getting pages the night before and trying to make it work on the day.”
