Extraction was one of the biggest hits that Netflix has released in the last few years with the Russo Brothers writing and producing, Sam Hargrave directing, and Chris Hemsworth starring. The next chapter in the franchise is set to drop on the streamer June 16th and the new trailer sets us up for more insane action than the first film had… and that’s saying something.
After being left for dead at the end of the first film, Hemsworth’s Tyler Rake is back and he’s ready to save more kids and what appears to be a mystery woman from his past. Is he up to the task? Probably. Will it be fun seeing it happen? Definitely.
Hemsworth reunites with director Sam Hargrave, with Joe and Anthony Russo’s AGBO producing and Joe Russo writing. Golshifteh Farahani reprises her role from the first film, with Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili also co-starring. This is a sequel to the first film that was based on the graphic novel ‘Ciudad’ by Ande Parks, from a story by Ande Parks, Joe Russo & Anthony Russo, with illustrations by Fernando León González.
