The widely popular “Sneezing Baby Panda” viral video is apparently being made into a feature-length movie.
What?
Yes, it’s allegedly happening and even as I sit and type this right now I’m still befuddled by this madness.
Ranked as the 45th most popular video on YouTube today, “Sneezing Baby Panda” has over 106,852,787 views. According to THR, it will soon become the basis for a mockumentary entitled “The Life and Times of Sneezing Baby Panda.”
Set to begin filming in China this October, the $1.3 million co-production “with Zhejiang Roc Pictures of Hangzhou, will follow an Australian zoologist whose zoo faces financial difficulties she thinks she might solve if she travels to China to save the black and white fuzzy sneezer whose (real life) video clip still gets more than 150,000 hits per day.”
Here’s the obligatory “Sneezing Baby Panda” in case you’ve been living under a rock or just want a refresher in absolutely Internet hilarity.
