There were some mixed reactions to last night’s season finale of The Walking Dead. For some it was filled with drama and tension, for others, it was filled with snow and a tacked on teaser for next season. No matter how you felt about it, everyone seems to be buzzing about the new trailer that was just released for the fifth season of Fear the Walking Dead.
The big reveals for the trailer are that two characters are coming back, one from season three of the show and one from The Walking Dead. First up, we’ve got Rubén Blades‘ Daniel Salazar. We haven’t seen him since the end of season three, but he appears to be alive and well now that season five is rolling around. While that is cool, it’s not the big reveal. That would be our own melty-faced saviour turned good guy, Austin Amelio‘s Dwight. It appears that the search for his wife has taken him west where he’s going to meet up with last year’s series transplant, Lennie James.
Fear the walking dead also stars: Colman Domingo, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace, Jenna Elfman, and Alexa Nisenson.
When the world’s ending, the only choice is to try to make it a slightly better place. Fear the Walking Dead returns June 2.
In Fear the Walking Dead Season 5, the group’s mission is clear: locate survivors and help make what’s left of the world a slightly better place. With dogged determination, Morgan Jones (James) leads the group with a philosophy rooted in benevolence, community and hope. Each character believes that helping others will allow them to make up for the wrongs of their pasts. But trust won’t be easily earned. Their mission of helping others will be put to the ultimate test when our group finds themselves in unchartered territory, one which will force them to face not just their pasts but also their fears. It is only through facing those fears that the group will discover an entirely new way to live, one that will leave them forever changed.
