I still remember the very first Final Destination movie. Not only does it feature one of my favorite all time decapitation scenes (the one with the railroad sign) but it gave me a whole new respect for John Denver. I mean who would have thought that you could make the star of one of the greatest Muppet Christmas Specials synonymous with grisly, rube goldberg-life death?
Well, it is almost hard to believe, but the series is still going strong and has just released the trailer to #5. Thankfully, they still have the dude from Candyman. I hope he sticks around forever. I just would not want to be the kid who he’s reading bed tie stories to at night. Talk about night terrors.
The new movie stars Nicholas D’Agosto, Emma Bel, Tony Todd, David Koechner, Courtney B. Vance, and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood. You can see the carnage when the film is released on August 12th.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Death is just as omnipresent as ever, and is unleashed after one man’s premonition saves a group of coworkers from a terrifying suspension bridge collapse. But this group of unsuspecting souls was never supposed to survive, and, in a terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group frantically tries to discover a way to escape Death’s sinister agenda.
