New Scamander is heading back to theaters in just over a month and today Warner Bros released the final trailer for the film. The new footage sets the stakes with the film. Newt (eddie Redmayne) has been tasked by none other than Dumbledore (Jude Law) to find and kill Grindelwald (Johnny Depp). Along the way, it looks like more magical explosions may have been staged for this film than any other film in the Harry Potter franchise.
Along with the above-mentioned talent, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald also stars Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Zoe Kravitz, Ezra Miller, Callum Turner, and Claudia Kim.
The film opens November 16th.
At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.
