I was really excited about this movie when news of it first broke. It has an epic feel, a great cast and an excellent director. Now it’s also got a pissing match in the media about whether it’s true to the bible, a whacked out tale of global warming, or something in-between.
The first clip was just released today and I’m guessing that it was chosen to appease the religious audience (Despite Aronofky’s claim that they aren’t his main focus). Personally, I’d have gone with something that had a little more spectacle than Russel Crowe, explaining to his family by firelight, that they need to save the animals because they are innocent, but it does at least give a good introduction for the three people out there who haven’t heard of Noah’s Ark.
The film features a star-studded cast that features Russell Crowe as Noah and a supporting cast that includes: Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Kevin Durand, Martin Csokas, and Mark Margolis.
