First Footage From James Cameron’s Trip To The Bottom Of The Ocean

James Cameron has created some amazing new technology… sadly he will use it to make another Avatar movie. No, seriously… I did not care for that movie. Lucky for him, I do love some good underwater footage.

We don’t get to see much of it here, but we do get our first glimpse of some of the footage that he took for an upcoming National Geographic special that will air soon.

The pressure that he had to deal with was close to 16,000 lb per inch. It was so much that the submarine actually compressed by three inches by the time it reached the bottom.
