The first image of Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond, the principal villain in Warner Bros’s epic “Green Lantern,” has been leaked. Via Sky Showbiz, it shows Sarsgaard in complete make up as Hammond.
While Hammond is not the most exciting villain, he’s almost like the like Lex Luthor to Superman or Green Goblin to Spider-Man. Hammond in the film will be based on the recent Geoff Johns versions rather than some of his earlier comic appearances. And chances are once in film, he won’t be walking about like this leaked set photograph.
“Green Lantern” hits theaters June 17, 2011. We’ll have more on this as it develops.
