The Lion King live-action remake is doing well in theaters, but a lot of people can’t help but notice how stiff the CGI animals are in the film compared to the iconic animated film that they grew up with. Now, Disney is set for their next animal-based remake with the Disney+ exclusives Lady and The Tramp. The big difference with this film (aside from the smaller budget and lack of John Favreau) is that the movie is using actual animals and not CGI replicas.
The thing that makes the film even cooler is that the movie is not just using real animals in the film, they are using all rescue animals. Today, People magazine gave us our first look at the all-pooch cast and their human counterparts including Tessa Thompson, Justin Theroux, Sam Elliot, Janelle Monae, and Benedict Wong.
Lady and The Tramp will be available for streaming on Disney+, November 12.
