Neil Patrick Harris has proved he can do pretty much anything. He was awesome as Doogie Howser. He was awesome in Starship Troopers. He was ridiculously Awesome in Rent and Assassins on Broadway… but the question remains… is he awesome enough to makes the new Smurf movie not suck?

We’ll have to wait until August to find out, but for now at least we get our first taste of NPH rocking out with the Smurfs

This movie has a great cast, but it looks like it could be so very, very awful… what do you think, is the power of NPH strong enough to prevent another ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’?

Here’s the official description of the movie:
When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours — in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.

The film stars:
Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Sofia Vergara, Katy Perry, Anton Yelchin, Hank Azaria, Jonathan Winters, Alan Cumming, George Lopez, Fred Armisen, Paul Reubens, John Oliver, Tim Gunn,
