Here’s Toho’s first official theatrical trailer for “Gyakuten Saiban,” or better known to Americans as “Ace Attorney.”
The film is an adaptation of the popular Capcom video game series starring fictional defense attorney Phoenix Wright. Directed by Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer), the story follows the comical adventures of lawyer Phoenix Wright who defends his clients against the accusations of longtime rival, prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, with the prodigious use of research, evidence and his signature catchphrase, “OBJECTION!”
“Ace Attorney” will hit theaters in Japan sometime in 2012. Meanwhile, if you’re itching more for Phoenix Wright, he’ll be making his first fighting game debut in Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, which drops November 15th.
